"DARIO ARGENTO MONTAGE"
Alan was approached by Producer Robert Marcucci to create a presentation DVD representing famed Italian director Dario Argento's films as part of a budget proposal for Dario's new film (a planned sequel to SUSPIRIA and INFERNO). Alan worked alone over many dark nights to create a montage from supplied DVDs and Soundtracks of Argento's films that would demonstrate Dario's incredible cinematic style for potential investors. Here's hoping the film is green-lighted soon!

"HIRO NIGHTMARE" A SHORT FILM BY ALAN BAZIN
An experiment, shot one afternoon inside an actual graveyard in Hiro, Tokyo. Alan shot it on his last day in Japan following a tour as the drummer for The Spunks. After the shoot, Alan and the cast poured salt over their backs to prevent spirits from following them home, as per a Japanese tradition.

TBS "FAMILY GUY" CABLE CACOPHONY (DANCE MIX)
On January 2nd of 2006, the evening transmission of "Family Guy" on TBS via Time Warner Cable in NYC brought new meaning to the term "technical difficulties." The picture appeared as a series of incongruous still frames resembling something like a spastic slide show. The audio presented was a surrealistic stream of garbled loops and non-synchronous gibberish, small portions of which struck Alan as having an amusing rhythmic potential. He was able to tape a full 40 mins of the troubled broadcast (1 and 1/2 "Family Guy" episodes) before it was pulled from the air and replaced with a "technical difficulties" placeholder. The program available for download below is made up entirely of bits extracted from this unplanned event which have been re-arranged into a musical montage for your befuddled amusement. The images presented are those that accompanied each sound with wipes and boxes added to denote the beginning and end of each individual audio nugget.
Here is an UNEDITED clip to demonstrate what part of the original broadcast was like.
